Instead of locking down systems with proprietary encryption that invites black-market hacking, partner with open-source tuning communities to create safe, certified upgrade paths. If a rider wants more power, let them register the vehicle legally for higher tiers of transit.

The industry needs to stop hiring compliance officers to chase ghosts and start hiring engineers who understand urban reality. The rogue rider won't be patched out of existence. They are the market telling you that your rules do not match the pavement.
